Charles McPherson, Sr. (“Mac”) is from the “Sand Mountain” area of north east Alabama where he attended Albertville High School. Mac graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.S. degree in business, and he continued his education at The University of Alabama by receiving a second degree in chemistry.

Mac began his petroleum industry career with Shell Oil Company’s Marine Division in Houston, Texas as a lubrication engineer. Mac worked with Shell Oil until 1970. On April 1, 1971, “Mac” formed McPherson Oil Products in Oneonta, Alabama.

Ken McPherson
President

Ken McPherson was named President of The McPherson Companies in August 2006. Ken has worked with TMC for 10 years and during this time he has performed numerous roles in sales, operations and administration. Ken has a strong knowledge of the petroleum industry. As President, Ken focuses on the strategic direction of the company, building strong relationships with our suppliers and ensuring that our customers are provided with quality products and World Class service. He is a member of ExxonMobil’s National Lubricant Distributor Advisory Council. Prior to working with TMC, Ken started his career in Houston, Texas with HCA Healthcare working in healthcare administration. Ken graduated with a business degree from the University of Alabama and received an M.B.A from The University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. Click here to contact Ken.

Mike Bedford has 22 plus years experience in the supply chain management industry. Mike has extensive knowledge of distribution, logistics and warehouse operations. Prior to joining TMC, Mike worked with Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Coca-Cola and Johnson Industries. Mike’s responsibilities at TMC include all Warehouse Operations, Transportation/Fleet Management, Purchasing and Inventory Control. Jeff Creel has been employed by The McPherson Companies since 1995. Jeff has been actively involved in many aspects of TMC operations. He has held positions in accounting, purchasing, and managing TMC’s chain of retail convenience stores. In 2000, Jeff was promoted to manager of the retail fuel division. Over the last 9 years, the retail fuel division has experienced significant growth with annual volumes now exceeding 75 million gallons per year. Brad Gray has 19 years of financial and operational management experience in various industries. Prior to joining TMC, Brad worked 10 years with Saks Incorporated, a Fortune 500, publicly traded retail department store company, where he held the positions of Director of Financial Reporting, Corporate Controller, VP of Long Range Planning and VP of Credit Operations and Customer Service. Brad has been employed with TMC since 2006 when he was hired as Vice President of Administration.  In 2008, Brad added the Finance and Accounting functions to his responsibilities, and in 2009 he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations.  Working with an outstanding team, Brad's responsibilities include Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Human Resources, Information Technology and Fleet Services.  Brad graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and obtained his CPA in 1994. Rodney Holland has over 27 years in sales and sales management in the fuels and lubricants industries. Market segments he has experience with include; industrial, transportation, retail, agriculture, shipping, shipyards, commercial fishing, and the oil exploration and production industries. Rodney’s duties with TMC include leading our sales team’s efforts in our 5 state area to grow our market share, as well as to penetrate new markets and expanding all facets of our TPM (Total Petroleum Management) program.
