Charles McPherson, Sr. (“Mac”) is from the “Sand Mountain” area of north east Alabama where he attended Albertville High School. Mac graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.S. degree in business, and he continued his education at The University of Alabama by receiving a second degree in chemistry.

Mac began his petroleum industry career with Shell Oil Company’s Marine Division in Houston, Texas as a lubrication engineer. Mac worked with Shell Oil until 1970. On April 1, 1971, “Mac” formed McPherson Oil Products in Oneonta, Alabama. After 35 years of buying, building and expanding what is now The McPherson Companies, Inc., Mac is serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Mac has grown the original McPherson Oil Products to be one of the southeast’s most successful petroleum companies with over 37 acquisitions and mergers. With his vast knowledge and experience in the petroleum industry, Mac continues to be a strong asset to both TMC’s customers as well as the new generation of company management.

Additionally, Mac continues to emphasize the family oriented atmosphere at TMC. Mac has always stressed the importance of TMC’s environmental responsibilities, and he has been an industry leader in recycled products.

Mac is a community focused leader and loves being involved in politics; he is often quoted saying “Don’t gripe if you don’t care enough to be involved and vote”. Mac is a supporter of the United Way, Boy Scouts of America and The Children’s Hospital of Alabama. He is a board member of The Jefferson County Economic and Industrial Development Authority and The Prescott House. Additionally, Mac serves on the Jefferson County Judicial Commission. In his spare time, Mac enjoys fly fishing anytime, anywhere, his old Lambda Chi fraternity brothers and his 1959 Albertville classmates.

Ken McPherson was named President of The McPherson Companies in August 2006. Ken has worked with TMC for 10 years and during this time he has performed numerous roles in sales, operations and administration. Ken has a strong knowledge of the petroleum industry. As President, Ken focuses on the strategic direction of the company, building strong relationships with our suppliers and ensuring that our customers are provided with quality products and World Class service. He is a member of ExxonMobil’s National Lubricant Distributor Advisory Council. Prior to working with TMC, Ken started his career in Houston, Texas with HCA Healthcare working in healthcare administration. Ken graduated with a business degree from the University of Alabama and received an M.B.A from The University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.

Mike Kirouac joined TMC in February 2017, as Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales.  Mike’s responsibilities with TMC include lubes, commercial fuel, inside sales and marketing.  Mike has spent his entire career in distribution and has lived all over the country, most recently relocating from Chicago to Birmingham.  Prior to joining TMC Mike worked for both public and private distributors, selling various products into the manufacturing, construction, automotive and commercial vehicle markets.  Mike graduated from Clarkson University in 1996 with a bachelors degree in Engineering & Management.

Brant Holladay joined TMC in August 2010, as Vice President Finance. Brant’s responsibilities with TMC include Finance, Accounting and commercial fuel supply management. Brant has enjoyed the majority of his career in the Birmingham area after transferring with KPMG to Birmingham from Dallas, Texas in 1987. Prior to joining TMC, Brant worked in senior financial roles in varied industries including private water utilities, hospice care (healthcare), and with Birmingham Steel Corporation, a publicly traded steel manufacturer. Brant graduated from Harding University with an Accounting degree and obtained his CPA certification in 1986.

Chris Ingram brings over 25 years of warehousing, distribution, transportation and supply chain management experience and joined TMC in June of 2011. As the Vice President of Operations, Chris manages the demand planning, forecasting, warehousing, and distribution of petroleum products in all markets.  Chris began his career as a forklift operator with Springs Industries while attending college and spent 18 years with the company. As one of the world’s largest distributors of home furnishings, Springs operated a highly automated global retail distribution network where Chris held the positions of Safety and Training Manager, Operations Manager, GM of Warehousing and Distribution, and Plant Manager. Chris also has experience in the food and beverage industry having spent 2 years as Corporate Supply Chain Manager with Buffalo Rock which is one of the largest privately-owned Pepsi-Cola bottlers in the country. Chris is from Spring Garden, Alabama and graduated with a degree in Education from Jacksonville State University in 1999.

Gerald Jowers joined TMC in February of 2015, as the Vice President of Information Technology. Gerald’s responsibilities include IT Strategy, cyber security, governance/risk, ERP implementation, business process, enterprise software, system support and project management. His career has been spent in distribution, construction materials, software and manufacturing. Prior to joining TMC he has worked on every continent but Antarctica and lived on three continents working with business both globally and locally. Gerald graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science in Commerce & Business Administration with an accounting major.

Chris Smith rejoined TMCs team in June 2014 as VP of Commercial Fuel and ReNew. As VP of Commercial Fuel he manages our day to day operations for both our Transport and Tank Wagon fuel. He also oversees the ReNew division which is our oil reclamation division. Previously Chris was with us as VP of Sales from 1999 up until 2008. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama. Chris is also a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, Iota Iota Chapter.

Prior to joining TMC, Patrick owned his own company in the panhandle of Florida for 19 years in the Electronic Imaging and Software industry. Chris Creel joined TMC in July 1995 and has 23 years of experience working with fleet owners and managers to reduce their overall operations expense. Chris was instrumental in growing TMC’s Fleet Management credit card into a key division of TMC. In 2011 TMC launched its new “Fuelz Fleet Card. Chris currently serves as the Director of Fleet Management Services for the Fuelz division. Chris’s responsibilities include all sales and operations management. Chris received a B.A. degree in Finance and a M.B.A. from The University of Alabama.

Wendi Allen has been employed by TMC since 2007where she began as Director of Customer Care and Inside Sales where she focused on ensuring that customers were provided with Excellent Customer Service and supported the sales team in their efforts. Wendi’s experience in eCommerce enabled TMC to be one of the first in their industry to launch on-line ordering for petroleum distributors in 2011. Prior to joining TMC, Wendi acquired 13 years of service and sales call center experience with Saks Incorporated and SkyTel Communications located in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2014, Wendi transitioned to Director of Fuelz Marketing and Services where she spear headed new marketing initiatives for the Fuelz Fleet Card division. Wendi attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and has a bachelor of arts, with a double major in Sociology and Psychology.

Andria Cleghorn joined TMC in July 2008.  She has worked various accounting and financial roles within the organization and is currently the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.  Andria began her financial career in the banking industry as a corporate lender.  Andria graduated from Birmingham Southern College with a B.S. in International Business.  She has a Master’s in Business Administration as well as a Master’s in Accountancy from Samford University.

Alecia LaFon joined TMC in November 2009, as Human Resources Manager and was promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2016. Alecia’s responsibilities with TMC include employee relations, compliance, recruiting, and benefits management. Early in her career, Alecia worked in the banking industry for over 12 years in various functions including branch operations, marketing, and human resources. Prior to joining TMC, Alecia worked with Deloitte Consulting LLP in their Human Capital division as a Consultant for implementations of HRIS solutions primarily in health care. Alecia graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration of Marketing from University of Montevallo in 2000.

David Tidwell joined TMC in August 2004 as General Manager for the Total Petroleum Equipment division. In 2008 David developed the Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer position. David is responsible for maintaining compliance in environmental and safety as it relates to regulatory agencies. Prior to joining TMC he was General Manager with Aramark services that spanned a 23-year career. David is a board certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer by the National Registry of Environmental Professionals. David graduated from Luther Rice Seminary earning the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees.
