Dear Customers and Friends,

We hope that you and your family are safe and healthy.  We know that these are trying times as we are all learning a temporary new normal.

We wanted to update you on our ongoing operations.  We are continuing to operate and the steps we’ve taken to protect our employees, customers and communities are working well.   All of our facilities remain open and we will do everything within our power to ensure our customers can continue to operate while keeping the safety of our employees and your team top of mind.  As some states and cities, we operate in have closed all non-essential businesses, McPherson is thankful to be considered an essential business. Our essential business status is due to our support and partnership with many hospitals, police departments, fire stations and other essential businesses such as manufacturing and distribution within the areas we operate.  We have communicated with our major suppliers and at this time they do not anticipate any disruption of supply.  We will keep in constant contact with them and update you if anything changes.

Safety is always at the forefront of McPherson Oil’s operational procedures.  We continue to comply with state, county, and city regulations while also adhering to the health department guidelines. In addition, we have implemented the following actions:

  • We have set up daily calls with our Executive team to discuss the current status, future implications, and an action plan to limit exposure.
  • MOP has provided cleaning agents to all facilities to do daily satiation cleaning as well as contracted out to a 3rd party to do a deep clean at each facility.
  • We have provided our delivery agents with cleaning supplies to reduce exposer to them and our customers.
  • MOP is promoting social distancing as well as sent all employees home that have the ability to perform their job functions remotely.
  • Delivery agents are not currently requiring a signed POD to avoid contact with customers.
  • We have limited outside vendors’ access to our facilities to essential visits only.

Once again, it is extremely important that we communicate as we work through these challenging times.  Please let us know if your business closes or if there are additional safety measures you are taking that will impact our deliveries to you.  We will be communicating changes in our business through emails and social media to ensure you are up to date on our operations and ability to support you.  These are the ways we will be communicating, please ensure all the people in your business who need to be aware of what’s happening with McPherson Oil get this information.

Dear Customers and Friends,

I hope this note finds you all safe and healthy. As you may know, our Trussville Alabama headquarters is both our corporate office as well as our largest distribution center. It supports multiple other facilities as well as re-packs products from bulk to drums and pails. As such it is extremely important for us to keep those warehouse employees and driver team members healthy. So effective Thursday, March 19th, all office employees will begin working from home.

Every one of our office employees has a laptop and can connect to all our systems, including our phone and order entry systems. There should be no change or disruption in the service you receive when contacting us ( via phone or email). Our warehouse staff and drivers will keep reporting to work each day, and there is no change in that for the foreseeable future.

I would like to reinforce again our temporary process regarding delivery receipts. Currently, our delivery drivers have our customers electronically sign on a touchpad with their finger or have a paper delivery ticket the customer signs acknowledging delivery. To minimize the risk of exposure we’ve stopped this requirement and will resume the process when safe to do so. Drivers will be documenting the name of the person receiving the product at your facility as a reference to the completed delivery We will also continue to leave paper receipts and our automated emails for delivery documents will continue.

We will continue to keep you updated on our ongoing operations and the status of our facilities. If there are any changes in your business such as new safety measures, facility closings or anticipated demand changes for lubes or fuel, please let us know as soon as possible. To reiterate from yesterday, here are the ways we will continue to communicate any changes:

Dear Customers and Friends,

Our world is changing rapidly because of coronavirus (COVID-19). With schools and businesses closing, we continue to balance supporting our employees and ensuring your business has the products you need to operate. We’ve taken measures to protect our employees, customers and communities and will continue to evaluate our practices as the situation changes.

One of the actions we’ve taken is regarding delivery receipts. Currently, our delivery drivers have our customers electronically sign on a touchpad with their finger or have a paper delivery ticket the customer signs acknowledging delivery. To minimize the risk of exposure we’ve stopped this requirement and will start the process back up when safe to do so. We hope you understand and support this change, please make sure the appropriate people in your organization are aware.

Right now, all of our facilities are open and products are being delivered. We will do everything within our power to ensure our customers can continue to operate while keeping the safety of our employees and your team top of mind. We have communicated with our major suppliers and at this time they do not anticipate any disruption of supply. We will keep in constant contact with them and update you if anything changes.

It is extremely important that we communicate as we work through these challenging times.
