Mobil SHC LogoWe are delighted to share that Mobil SHC 918 EE, specially formulated to perform in GE Frame 7FA and Frame 6FA.01gas turbines and is 100% compatible with Mobil DTE 932 GT, is now available in the United States.

As you know, improving turbine energy efficiency is a significant focus across the power generation industry. This efficiency can help reduce fuel costs which can account for up to 80% of total running costs1 and extend component life by reducing operating temperatures. For this reason, ExxonMobil and GE teamed up to develop a next-generation turbine oil designed to deliver energy efficiency benefits. Co-branded and developed in collaboration with GE, Mobil SHC 918 EE gas turbine oil is the first and only lubricant to meet GE’s Energy Efficient (EE) GEK 121603 turbine oil specification, which GE developed exclusively for its high-performance turbines. This energy-efficient performance was measured in a GE-designed bearing rig, GE’s Frame 7 HA test stand in Greenville, SC, and GE Frame 7FA and 6FA field demonstrations. Performance is realized through lower viscometric and proprietary additive technology with GE engineers confirming proper bearing lubrication and maintaining strong reliability.
