The McPherson Companies, Inc. Acquires Salathe Oil in Harvey, Louisiana
15 Oct 2018, Posted by in GeneralBirmingham, Ala – October 15, 2018 – The McPherson Companies, Inc. (McPherson) has acquired Salathe Oil Company (Salathe) in Harvey, Louisiana. Salathe’s business includes commercial fuel, an unmanned fuel site and lubricant products in the New Orleans and surrounding markets. , McPherson will use the Harvey, LA facility to serve as the operations base for the newly acquired Salathe customers and the Louisiana lubricant volume acquired from Retif Oil & Fuel on September 17, 2018.
Including this acquisition, McPherson has 11 warehouse locations and 245 employees in the Southeastern US McPherson, an ExxonMobil Circle of Excellence award recipient, is a second-generation family owned business and is the Southeast’s largest provider of lubricants, commercial fuel, fleet card, retail fuel and industrial services. The Company was founded by Charles McPherson in Oneonta, Alabama in 1971, and is now headquartered in Trussville, Alabama.
